‘Ardaas’ & ‘Love Punjab’ both have good hype among Audience

After Bollywood, now the time of clash in Punjabi Cinema. Yes this week, there are two new anticipated films- ‘Ardaas’ and ‘Love Punjab’ are being clashed at box office. Both the films have good hype among audience in their dominated region Punjab, as both are associated with popular names of Pollywood. The singer cum actor Gippy Grewal aka desi rockstar, has turned director with the upcoming satirical drama Ardaas. Whereas the other one Love Punjab has very popular singer cum actor Amrinder Gill in a lead role.

Gippy Grewal’s directorial Ardaas features the ensemble cast, that includes Ammy Virk, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Mandy Takhar, Rana Ranbir and more known faces in crucial roles, along with Gippy himself in a cameo appearance. The adjacent release, Rajiv Dhingra’s directorial family drama film Love Punjab features Amrinder Gill and Sargun Mehta in lead roles. Both the films are based on opposite genres but will divided limited audience for Punjabi films in two sections and will cause loss to each other.

Gippy and Amrinder, both have huge fan following in India as well as in overseas and that is the reason their films are buzzing around on a good note. After a long time gap, now Punjabi cinema lovers will have two new films to watch this week. Both are releasing on decent number of screens worldwide and witnessing good pre-release response for the advance booking. As per the prediction made on the basis of reports, Ardaas is expected to get 1 – 1.25 crore* with higher occupancy on the opening day in Punjab. Whereas Love Punjab is expected to rake around 0.90 – 1.10 crore*. Further business will depend on the reaction of audience.
