After a good opening week, Mulk director Anubhav Sinha’s latest offering Article 15 has passed its second weekend at a steady note. Despite the existing Kabir Singh & several new releases that include one biggie Spider-Man: Far From Home, the film is getting a good response in the metro cities.
Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra & Manoj Pahwa, the Hindi crime drama has got succeed to impress many in theatres and received mostly positive reviews. While some haven’t found it convincing despite the excellent performance of all the actors.
Article 15 was released last Friday with positive expectations but unexpectedly didn’t open at the desired note. Afterward, it had picked up well due to positive word of mouth and did the business of 34.21 crores in the first week that included 20.04 crores in the weekend and 14.17 crores on weekdays.
Zee Studios & Benaras Media Works’ presentation is now running in the second week and still has a decent hold over the audience. On 2nd Friday, it had witnessed a slight drop of 13.12% as compared to the previous day and minted the amount of 2.65 crores.
Then on 2nd Saturday, Article 15 had recorded a good jump in footfalls and managed to collect 4 crores. On the next day i.e. 2nd Sunday, with further growth, it bagged the amount of 5.35 crores and raised 10 days total collection to 46.21 crores nett at the domestic box office.
