Baahubali 2 Releasing on 6500 Screens across India

The highly awaited sequel to 2015’s biggest blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is all set to hit theaters on 28th April globally in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam versions. The enormous hype that first installment had generated for the franchise among audience, has declared it a sure-shot blockbuster before the release.

Made with a whopping budget of around 250 crores (landing cost), Baahubali 2 is releasing on record number of 6500 screens across the country including all versions. While Baahubali: The Beginning had total 6000 screens across the globe. With this the latest one has come out as the biggest & widest release of Indian Cinema so far.

Apart from setting records with budget and screens, Baahubali 2 has also created a record of selling theatrical rights at record pricing. Reportedly, SS Rajamouli’s this mammoth has bagged around 500 crores with it’s theatrical, satellite and music rights. As per trade analysts, the film is positively expected to 100 crores on the opening day worldwide.

The reports are hard to believe but yes these are true. Makers of Baahubali 2, Arka Media Works sold the theatrical rights of it’s Hindi version at 65 crores to Dharma Productions & AA Films. They have fetched massive 130 crores by selling theatrical rights for Telugu states, while bagged 47 crores for Tamil Nadu, 45 crores for Karnataka and 8 crores for Kerala.

North America’s distribution rights have bee acquired by a International studio at 45 crores, the makers have reportedly fetched more than 50 crores from it’s overseas distribution. More addition to the pre-release earning of Baahubali 2, film audio rights of all the versions have garnered around 30 crores for it’s makers.

Satellite rights of Baahubali 2‘s Hindi version have been bought by Sony TV Networks at record price of 51 crores. While the satellite rights of Telugu, Tamil & Malayalam have been acquired by Star Networks at 28 crores. By getting more than 100 million views on YouTube & Facebook, film’s trailer had set a record of most viewed Indian trailer.
