Last Friday released normally-buzzed Hindi film Baazaar has completed one week at a decent note. Despite having a bunch of fellow releases & last week’s much-liked Badhaai Ho in the opposite, it remained steady throughout and scored decent numbers on board.
Starring Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Chitrangada Singh & debutant Rohan Mehra, Baazaar has received mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience, but still being the major release, it got a considerable response and obviously better than a couple of previous films of Saif.
Gauravv K. Chawla’s directorial opened on the first day with poor occupancy but picked up to a decent level post noon shows. In the first weekend, it did the business of 11.93 crores, that included 3.07 crores on Friday, 4.10 crores on Saturday, and 4.76 crores on Sunday from approx. 1500 screens nationwide.
Then on weekdays, Baazaar got dropped by a usual rate but managed to remain steady. On Monday, it faced a decline of 45.93% than Friday and minted the amount of 1.66 crores. With a slight drop, it raked 1.61 crores on Tuesday & 1.47 crores on Wednesday.
On the next day i.e Thursday, Nikkhil Advani’s presentation collected the business of 1.38 crore and raised its one week total collection to 18.05 crores at the domestic box office. In the new week, it will have no major competitor except the existing one Badhaai Ho.
