Badla 19th Day & Luka Chuppi 26th Day Collection, Get affected by Kesari & IPL 2019

Due to the release of new Hindi biggie Kesari and the ongoing IPL 2019 cricket matches, the already existing offerings Badla & Luka Chuppi have got affected by a significant rate & now slowing down at the box office. Amitabh Bachchan & Taapsee Pannu starrer thriller drama is running steadily though but on a low note.

Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Badla is the second collaboration of Amitabh & Taapsee after 2016’s Pink and has received very positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience. At an excellent note, it did the business of 38 crores in the first week & 29.32 crores in the second.

In the third weekend, it managed to collect 7.47 crores with 2.07 crores on Friday, 2.65 crores on Saturday & 2.75 crores on Sunday. On 3rd Monday, Badla faced a drop of 51.69% vis-a-vis 3rd Friday and minted 1 crore. With a further dip, it bagged 0.90 crore on 3rd Tuesday and raised 19 days total collection to 76.69 crores nett.

In parallel, Kartik Aaryan & Kriti Sanon starrer funfilled romantic comedy Luka Chuppi was entered in its fourth weekend at an average note and did the business of 2.39 crores with 0.61 crore on Friday, 0.81 crore on Saturday & 0.97 crore on Sunday. Now it is running on weekdays and witnessed a significant drop in footfalls.

On 4th Monday, Dinesh Vijan’s production recorded a drop of 29.51% vis-a-vis 4th Friday and minted 0.43 crore. On the next day i.e. 4th Tuesday, Luka Chuppi managed to collect 0.36 crore and raised 26 days total collection to 90.17 crores nett at the domestic box office with 86.99 crores from the last 3 weeks.
