Badla and Captain Marvel 3rd Day Box Office Collection, Opening Weekend Report

Despite a decent start on Friday & having the hugely-buzzed Captain Marvel in parallel, Hindi film Badla has registered an excellent weekend at the box office. Due to its strong content, it got succeed to make an impact on viewers and witnessed solid growth over Saturday & Sunday.

Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, expectedly, the thriller drama has received positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience and gathered a good word of mouth. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles, who have given a brilliant performance and are being praised by everyone.

On Friday, Badla was opened at a dull note but managed to collect 5.04 crores after significant growth in multiplexes post noon shows. Over the weekend, Red Chillies Entertainment’s presentation picked up very well and minted 8.55 crores on Saturday & 9.61 crores on Sunday. After 3 days, its total domestic collection has become 23.20 crores nett from 900 screens.

On the other hand, 21st film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain Marvel has got succeed to hit the target right among Indian audience and also received mostly positive reviews from the critics. On Friday, it registered the second biggest opening of all time in India by a Hollywood film with 13.01 crores.

Due to a solid word of mouth, Brie Larson starrer remained strong throughout the weekend and bagged the amount of 14.10 crores on Saturday & 13.60 crores on Sunday. After the opening weekend, the total collection of Captain Marvel has become 40.71 crores nett from 1900 screens across India including English, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu versions.
