‘Bajirao Mastani’ overtakes ‘Dilwale’ in Weekdays

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has recently presented the historical romantic movie Bajirao Mastani with ensemble starcast that includes Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone & Priyanka Chopra. All the stars are very versatile and have performed brilliantly in this magnum opus. With its trailer & promos, makers had created huge buzz about Bajirao Mastani among audience, which is the reason behind such warm welcome of the movie at box office. It has showed impressive performance till yet and getting very strong word of mouth.

Bajirao Mastani has received super positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers. Audience find it amazing & very interesting through out. In its opening weekend, it was recorded decent occupancy across the country and minted total 46.77 crores which comprises 12.80 crores of Friday, 15.52 crores of Saturday & 18.45 crores on Sunday. The strength of the movie gets proofed with its regular increments in weekend. From overseas screens too, it has reported nice business of 29.85 crores till Sunday.

Now the movie has entered in weekdays and as usual getting less audience in theaters than weekend. On Monday, Bajirao Mastani was recorded the drop of 40% than Sunday and raked the business of 10.25 crores which is slightly higher than adjacent release Dilwale. On Tuesday also, it has witnessed almost similar occupancy on Indian screens and recorded the business of 9.40 crores as its fifth day collection. Till the end of Tuesday, total 5 days collection of Bajirao Mastani is calculated as 66.42 crores.
