Bajirao Mastani leads over Dilwale in India
About a month ago, two very much anticipated Hindi films Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale were released with huge excited excitement of audience. That time everyone was just voting for Shahrukh Khan starrer Dilwale as winner of this battle but in actual the title has won by Bajirao Mastani because of its decent but steady run at domestic box office. Dilwale was started on an excellent note but has been failed to hold its pace further and slowed down so early. Where as Bajirao Mastani has proved, that slow and steady always wins race. Both the movies are now witnessing fall in their business graphs on Indian screens but in overseas, they are still getting decent response and grossed above 300 crores and 350 crores respectively worldwide.
Rohit Shetty’s directorial action comedy Dilwale was collected the total amount of 148.02 crores, that includes 102.65 crores of first week, 32.56 crores of second week, 11.47 crores of third week and 1.34 crores of 4th weekend. Where Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani was did the total business of 177.35 crores in 24 days journey on Indian screens, that includes 86.15 crores of first week, 55.70 crores of second week, 29.05 crores of third week and 6.45 crores of 4th weekend.
In weekdays, again both are receiving low response and heading slowly. Bajirao Mastani was reported the business of 0.98 crore on Monday and 0.95 crore on Tuesday. Wednesday has resulted in slightly lower business and collected the amount of 0.77 crore as its 27th day collection. On the parallel side, Dilwale was did the business of 0.20 crore* on Monday and 0.17 crore* on Tuesday. It has raked the amount of only 0.15 crore* on Wednesday with slight more drop.
