On Wednesday, Bharat took a fantastic start with an occupancy of around 65% in the morning and successfully attained the desired pace post noon shows. At a superb note, it has registered the higher-than-expected opening business of 42.30 crores nett from 4700 screens at the domestic box office.
With this, Reel Life Productions, T-Series & Salman Khan Films’ presentation has emerged as the highest opener of Salman’s career & the 3rd best of all time in Hindi cinema after Thugs Of Hindostan (52.25 crores) & Happy New Year (44.97 crores). As per the current trend, Bharat is positively expected to join the 100-crore club within 3 days of release.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat is an adaptation of South Korean melodrama Ode To My Father. The film traces the post-independence history of India from the perspective of a common man named Bharat and follows his life from the age of 8 to 70. It also stars Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover & Nora Fatehi.
