After passing the 5-days extended opening weekend at a terrific note, the year’s one of the most-awaited Hindi films Bharat has recorded a major drop in footfalls on Monday. Still, it remained strong and surpassed the lifetime total of Ajay Devgn’s Total Dhamaal (155.41 crores) within 6 days of release at the domestic box office.
Superstar Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani and Nora Fatehi starrer Hindi period drama has got succeed to convince critics and gathered mostly positive reviews. But unfortunately, it is getting mixed reactions from the audience in the metro cities.
On Wednesday, Bharat took a fantastic opening with an occupancy of 65% and attained a strong pace over the evening & night shows due to Eid holiday. In the end, it had registered the third highest opening of all time in Hindi Cinema and the best one of Salman Khan’s career with 42.30 crores.
From the next day, Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial had recorded a normal drop in footfalls and minted the amount of 31 crores on Friday & 22.20 crores on Thursday. Then on Saturday, it had retained the pace and managed to collect the amount of 26.70 crores. While on Sunday, at a higher note, it collected 27.90 crores and raised the opening weekend total to 150.10 crores.
Now Bharat has entered on weekdays and expectedly faced a heavy drop. On Monday, it got dropped by 58.56% vis-a-vis Friday and raked the business of 9.20 crores. After 6 days, the total collection of Reel Life Productions, T-Series Films and Salman Khan Films’ production has become 159.30 crores nett from 4700 screens.
