Blackmail & Subedar Joginder Singh 2nd Day Collection, Irrfan Khan’s Film takes a Good Jump

The two new releases that have released this Friday, Blackmail and Subedar Joginder Singh are getting very positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience across the country. Both the movie stand high on content and performances by their lead actors, due to which the word of mouth is quite solid.

Directed by Abhinay Deo, the dark comedy Blackmail stars the very versatile actor Irrfan Khan alongside Kirti Kulhari in lead role. With its intriguing story-line and brilliant performances, the movie has impressed everyone and received a big thumbs up from all the viewers.

On the opening day, it opened on a slow note but picked up well from evening shows in multiplexes and did the business of 2.81 crores which is exactly the same as Irrfan’s last year released Hindi Medium but on higher screen count i.e. 1550 across India.

On the next day i.e. Saturday, due to positive reactions, Blackmail witnessed a good jump in footfalls and collected the amount of 3.85 crores. With this, the total collection of the movie after 2 days has become 6.66 crores at the domestic box office.

On the other hand, the Punjabi offering Subedar Joginder Singh stars Gippy Grewal and many known faces of Punjabi cinema. As expected the audience and the critics have found this war drama very impactful and reacted in its complete favour.

On Friday, it took a solid opening and raked the business of 1.75 crores with the major contribution from Punjab. Then on Saturday as well, Subedar Joginder Singh remained strong and bagged the amount of 2.20 crores. With this, the total 2 days collection of Simerjit Singh’s directorial has become 3.95 crores.
