Box Office: 2nd Day Collection of Baahubali 2, SS Rajamouli’s Epic Film Sets Immortal Records

Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty starrer the epic action drama Baahubali 2 has been released worldwide on Friday with enormous hype. With a stunning start in the morning, it created the history to enter in 100 crore club on the opening day domestically. Directed by SS Rajamouli, this masterpiece registered the immortal record of highest opening of all time in Indian cinema.

On the opening day, Baahubali 2 recorded almost 100% occupancy in south regions and 75-80% in rest of India. Everyone got very much impressed with the greatness of this offering and showed big thumbs up to it. Except few ones from all the critics, the movie received super positive reviews and gained strong word of mouth.

With overall 85-90% of occupancy across the country, Baahubali 2 reported the stupendous business of 121 crores nett / 152 crores gross from 6500 screens including all the versions (Telugu, Tamil, Hindi & Malayalam). This included 41 crores of it’s Hindi version and rest 80 crores from Telugu, Tamil & Malayalam versions on domestic box office.

With it’s Hindi version alone, this magnum opus has registered the record of Hindi cinema’s second highest opening of all time, by dominating Salman Khan’s Diwali released Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (40.35 crores) despite being released on a normal day. The opening record of 121 crores, made by Baahubali 2 is not less than a miracle.

On the second day i.e. Saturday too, it remained phenomenal and garnered the business of 90.50 crores domestically including 40.50 crores of Hindi version and 50 crores of Telugu, Tamil & Malayalam versions. With this, it’s 2 days domestic total has become 211.50 crores nett. Baahubali 2 is all set to cross 300 crores nett total by Sunday across India.
