Meri Pyaari Bindu, Sarkar 3 and Lahoriye 6 Days Total Collection
Last Friday released Hindi offerings Meri Pyaari Bindu and Sarkar 3, both got failed to attract audience toward the theaters and disappointed with their performance at box office. Despite average buzz, it remained dull throughout the journey so far. While the Punjabi movie Lahoriye is doing well with limited screens.
In the opening weekend, Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra starrer much anticipated Meri Pyaari Bindu did the business of only 6.50 crores from 750 screens nationwide. In weekdays, asusual it slipped by 48.5% than the opening day and minted the amount of 0.85 crore on Monday.
On the next day i.e. Tuesday, it witnessed more drop and managed to collect the amount of 0.75 crore. On Wednesday, Akshay Roy’s directorial minted 0.60 crore and made it’s 6 days domestic total as 8.70 crores.
On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan, Amit Sadh and Yami Gautam starrer political thriller Sarkar 3 was also released with much expectations of fans but got poor response at box office and unfavorable reviews. It did the business of 6.65 crores in the opening weekend from 1425 screens.
With 57% of drop than last Friday, it raked the business of 0.90 crore on Monday. With further drops, Ram Gopal Varma’s directorial scored 0.72 crore on Tuesday and 0.63 crore on Wednesday. With this, it’s 6 days total collection has become 8.90 crores domestically.
Coming to the Punjabi cinema then after Gippy Grewal’s Manje Bistre, Amrinder Gill’s Lahoriye has taken over it’s command at box office. Despite lesser screens than Bollywood’s offerings, it registered the business of 6.40 crores in the opening weekend.
In weekdays, the movie recorded usual drop but managed to remain almost steady. With 49% of dip than the opening day, Amberdeep Singh’s directorial garnered the business of 0.90 crore on Monday, then 0.75 crore on Tuesday and 0.60 crore on Wednesday. This has raised it’s 6 days domestic total to 8.65 crores.
