Box Office: Ae Dil Hai Mushkil 19th Day Collection, Becomes 5th Highest Grossing Movie of 2016

19 Days Total Collection of Ranbir Kapoor’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM)

Ranbir Kapoor’s recent offering Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is not getting much response in theaters now, that it had witnessed in earlier weeks. But still heading decently on box office and has accomplished one more target. It has surpassed the lifetime total of Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 3 (109.14 crores) and become the fifth highest grossing movie of the year so far after Sultan, MS Dhoni The Untold Story, Airlift & Rustom.

Being much hyped, this Karan Johar’s directorial has been released with immense excitement of fans and as expected received overwhelmed response from audience across the country as well as overseas. In the opening week, the movie has reported very good occupancy through out and did the excellent business of 80.19 crores that was included 35.60 crores of weekend and 44.59 crores of weekdays.

In the second week too, it remained strong and raked the business of 24.67 crores with 16.96 crores of weekend and 7.71 crores of weekdays. Then in the third weekend, due to demonetization, new release Rock On 2 and adjacent release Shivaay, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had witnessed an average response and registered the business of 3.40 crores including 0.70 crore of Friday, 1.19 crore of Saturday and 1.51 crore of Sunday.

After 17 days of release, total collection of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was recorded as 108.26 crores on domestic box office. Now once again, it is in weekdays and asusual getting lesser footfall in theaters than before. On its third Monday, the movie showed drop and did the business of 0.52 crore.

Then on the next day i.e. Tuesday being normal working day, it reported more drop as compare to previous day and added the amount of 0.49 crore to its account. With this, its 19 days domestic total has become 109.27 crores.
