Box Office: Akira 3rd Day Collection, Crosses 16 Cr Total in 1st Weekend

3 Days Total Collection of Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira

Recent Hindi offering of the week, Akira is getting decent response on box office across the country. Being Sonakshi Sinha starrer and well promoted, it has been released with good buzz among audience and registered decent opening despite Bharat Bandh on Friday. For a female-centric movie in India, this can be considered as a good start.

Akira has received positive reviews from most of the critics as well as moviegoers, which has created positive word of mouth about it among rest audience. The actress has given brilliant performance in a title role and is being praised by everyone. Supporting actors Anurag Kashyap, Konkona Sen Sharma, Raai Laxmi etc. have also justified with their characters very well.

On the opening day, Akira started the day on a low note but picked up well from evening shows and registered the opening business of 5.15 crores with overall 25% of occupancy across India. On the next day i.e. Saturday, being weekend it remained steady and minted the amount of 5.30 crores.

On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, the movie reported higher response than last 2 days. From evening shows, again it picked up good and added the amount of 6.20 crores to its account. With this total opening weekend collection of Akira has become 16.65 crores on domestic box office. It can rake near about 24.50 crores till the end of this week, if maintains a steady pace.
