Box Office: Badrinath Ki Dulhania 8th Day Collection, Surpasses Lifetime Total of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania

8 Days Total Collection of Badrinath Ki Dulhania

After an excellent opening week, Karan Johar’s recent production Badrinath Ki Dulhania has now entered in the second weekend and surpassed the lifetime total of first installment from the franchise Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer this romantic comedy was released last week with immense excitement of fans and as expected witnessed very favorable response from all the viewers.

Due to good content and wonderful performances by the lead actors, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has received positive reviews from all the critics also and as a result gained strong word of mouth. With high initial buzz, it started it’s journey on an impressive note and did the business of 43.05 crores in the opening weekend from more than 3000 screens across India.

The weekend total was including 12.25 crores of Friday, 14.75 crores of Saturday and 16.05 crores of Sunday. After that on Monday due to Holi festival, Shashank Khaitan’s directorial remained strong as weekend and added the amount of 12.08 crores to it’s account.

Then on Tuesday due to normal working day, Badrinath Ki Dulhania faced 38% of drop and managed to collect the amount of 7.52 crores. With further drops, it minted the amount of 5.95 crores on Wednesday and 5.06 crores on Thursday. After the opening week, total collection of the movie was recorded as 73.66 crores on domestic box office.

Now Varun-Alia starrer has entered in the second weekend and garnered the business of 4.21 crores with 17% of drop than previous day. With this, it’s 8 days domestic total has become 77.87 crores and the movie has surpassed the lifetime total of 2014’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (76.81 crores). Now Badrinath Ki Dulhania has emerged as the 2nd highest grossing movie of Alia & 3rd of Varun so far.
