Ravi Jadhav’s directorial musical drama movie Banjo is the new Hindi offering of this week and has been released with decent buzz among audience and unfortunately received mixed reviews from critics. As per half of the critics, Banjo is the boring & predictable musical drama movie and some has marked its as good. But the final opinion get confirmed after recording below average occupancy in theaters till night shows. Audience preferred to watch Pink again over Banjo or other new releases.

On the opening day, Krishika Lulla’s recent venture Banjo started the day with low occupancy of 15% across the country. Due to mixed reactions of audience as well as critics, it witnessed slight growth in its occupancy from evening shows. At the end, it recorded the business of 1.72 crore with 18% of overall occupancy on domestic box office.

The movie has reported better response from the state Maharashtra than other regions of the country, as Riteish has good fan base there. Without audience support it won’t be possible for Banjo to rake satisfactory business on box office. It has to show jump on Saturday and Sunday, to achieve at least an average tag. Let see how it will manage to perform better.
