Box Office: Begum Jaan and Manje Bistre 10th Day Collection, Gippy Grewal starrer Stays Steady in 2nd Weekend

10 Days Total Collection of Begum Jaan and Manje Bistre

Last week released Hind movie Begum Jaan starring Vidya Balan, was earlier expected to perform decently at box office but it hasn’t received much response from audience. It got failed to impress critics as well as moviegoers and didn’t witness much footfalls in theaters throughout the opening week.

In the opening week, Srijit Mukherji’s directorial this action drama Begum Jaan remained average and did the business of total 17.83 crores from around 1100 screens across the country, which was including 11.48 crores of weekend and 6.35 crores of weekdays. Now the movie is running in it’s second week and faced abrupt drop due to new offerings.

On it’s 2nd Friday, Vidya Balan starrer faced 60% of drop than previous day and managed to collect the amount of 0.55 crore. On Saturday, it showed little growth and added the amount of 0.65 crore. Then on Sunday, with slight further rise Begum Jaan garnered the business of 0.70 crore and made it’s 10 days total collection as 19.73 crores on domestic box office.

While on the other hand, Gippy Grewal starrer Punjabi movie Manje Bistre impressed everyone with it’s content as well as performance at box office. This romantic comedy received amazing response from audience and remained strong throughout the opening week. It did the business of 11.29 crores in it’s first weekend, which was including 7.02 crores of weekend and 4.27 crores of weekdays.

Now this Baljit Singh Deo’s directorial is running in the second week and still has much hold over the Punjabi audience across the country. On 2nd Friday, Manje Bistre faced 12% of dip than previous day and minted the amount of 0.80 crore. On Saturday, asusual it witnessed some rise and bagged 1.10 crore.

On the next day i.e. Sunday due to public holiday, Gippy Grewal starrer recorded more growth and reported the business of 1.52 crore. With this, it’s 10 days domestic total has become 14.71 crores. From overseas market too, Manje Bistre has done quite excellent business.
