Box Office: Commando 2 4th Day Collection, Witnesses Low Footfalls on Monday

4 Days Total Collection of ‘Commando 2’

Second installment of franchise that was began in 2013 with Commando, has passed it’s opening weekend on a decent note. Although the movie has dominated by the adjacent English offering Logan (17.10 crores) but registered better business than last week released much anticipated Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial Rangoon (14.50 crores).

Most of the critics have not found Commando 2 much thrilling but they have praised the performances given by lead actors Vidyut Jammwal, Esha Gupta, Adah Sharma and Freddy Daruwala. Fortunately audience has reacted in its favor and got impressed with the action sequences done by Vidyut. As a result the movie remained decent over the weekend.

On the opening day, Deven Bhojani’s directorial this action thriller reported average occupancy on around 2200 screens across the country and did the business of 5.14 crores with all the versions- Hindi, Tamil & Telugu. On the second day instead of rise, Commando 2 faced drop and minted the amount of 4.42 crores.

On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it took decent jump than Saturday and added the amount of 6.19 crores to its account. After the opening weekend, total collection of Commando 2 was recorded as 15.75 crores on domestic box office. Now the movie has entered in weekdays and witnessed lower footfalls in theaters due to normal working day.

On Monday, Vidyut starrer reported massive drop of 56% than Friday and raked the business of 2.24 crore, which has made its 4 days domestic total as 17.99 crores. It has to be steady till the end of this week, to register a reputed business total.
