Box Office: Dangal 11th Day Collection, Crosses 280 Cr Total till 2nd Monday

Superstar Aamir Khan’s Dangal has accomplished one more level, entered in 250 crore club domestically in just 10 days of release. Being highly awaited, it was released with huge buzz among audience and as expected got overwhelmed response. From critics also, the movie has received very positive reviews which generated strong word of mouth about it.

In the opening week, Dangal witnessed exceptional response on box office and did the phenomenal business of 197.54 crores, including 107.01 crores of weekend (Fri 29.78cr, Sat 34.82cr, Sun 42.41cr) and 90.53 crores of weekdays (Mon 25.69cr, Tue 23.09cr, Wed 21.46cr, Thu 20.29cr). Now the movie is running in the second week and again reported impressive growth in its business over the second weekend.

On its 2nd Friday, Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial recorded only 10% of drop than previous day and added the amount of 18.59 crores to its account. Then on Saturday, being weekend it showed good growth and scored 23.07 crores. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, the movie raked the business of 32.04 crores and made its 10 days total collection as 271.24 crores on domestic box office. From international market too, it reported quite impressive performance and collected 141.60 crores till its 2nd Sunday.

Now once again Dangal is in weekdays but still has strong hold over the audience. On 2nd Monday, it faced around 30% of drop than Friday and did the business of 13.45 crores, which has made its 11 days domestic total as 284.69 crores. With this pace, the movie is positively expected to surpass the lifetime total of Salman Khan’s Sultan (300.45 crores) by this week.
