Box Office: Dangal 16th Day Collection, Emerges as the 2nd Biggest Grosser of all time!

16 Days Total Collection of Aamir Khan’s Dangal

In just 16 days of release, superstar Aamir Khan’s immensely awaited latest offering Dangal has trumped the lifetime total of Salman Khan’s highest grosser Bajrangi Bhaijaan (320.34cr) and emerged as the second biggest grosser of all time in Bollywood after his own 2014’s PK (340.80cr). In its third week too, the movie has excellent hold over audience and positively expected to surpass PK also in next few days on domestic box office.

Dangal was released with massive buzz among fans and received overwhelmed response from audience across the country as well as overseas. With its very inspiring content and the brilliant performance of entire cast, it has impressed all the viewers and is being appreciated by everyone. From critics also, the movie has got very positive reviews, which kept it rock-steady on box office so far.

In the opening, this Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial recorded phenomenal occupancy and did the business of 197.54 crores including 107.01 crores of weekend and 90.53 crores of weekdays. Then in the second week too, it remained very strong and registered excellent business of 115.96 crores with 73.70 crores of weekend and 42.26 crores of weekdays. After 2 weeks, total collection of the movie was calculated as 313.50 crores from Indian screens.

Now Dangal has entered in its third week and enjoying weekend again. On its 3rd Friday, it faced almost 27% of drop than previous day and added the amount of 6.66 crores. Then on the next day i.e. Saturday, this sports biopic showed good growth and done the business of 10.80 crores, which has made its 16 days domestic total as 330.96 crores. From international market too, it is getting impressive response and grossed 174.30 crores till now from there.
