Box Office: Dangal 3rd Day Collection, Majestically Crosses 100 Cr Total in 1st Weekend

As expected, the highly awaited movie Dangal of superstar Aamir Khan has witnessed tremendous response on box office across the country as well as in international market. Being highly hyped, it has been released with enormous buzz among fans and getting overwhelmed response from audience. Due to its strong content, the movie has received super positive reviews from critics. These positive reactions have generated a wave of this sports biopic, which made it to cross the mark of 100 crore in the opening weekend domestically.

Based on the real life of former wrestling champion Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta Phogat & Babita Kumari, this Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial is very impressive and inspiring as well. Entire cast has performed brilliantly and is being appreciated by everyone. Infact at all the aspects, Dangal has got impressive marksand heading to become next blockbuster of the year.

On the opening day, the movie recorded terrific occupancy of overall 80% and registered the second highest opening of the year & Aamir Khan‘s career as well with 29.78 crores. On Saturday being weekend and due to strong word of mouth, it reported excellent growth and did the business of 34.82 crores on domestic box office.

Then on the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday being public holiday, Dangal recorded higher occupancy than last 2 days and scored the whopping amount of 42.41 crores, which has made its opening weekend domestic total as 107.01 crores. With this it has become the 8th movie of the year, 50th of all time and 5th of Aamir Khan‘s career to enter in 100 crore club.
