12 Days Total Collection of SRK-Alia’s Dear Zindagi
With the power of interesting content, last week’s Hindi offering Dear Zindagi is heading strongly on box office. Due to high pre-release buzz among fans, this superstar Shahrukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer had witnessed excellent occupancy in the opening week and received overwhelmed response from audience across the country as well as overseas.
Despite the new release Vidya Balan’s Kahaani 2, Gauri Shinde’s directorial still has enough hold over audience in the second week. The movie has also received very positive reviews from critics, which created positive word of mouth and made it to remain strong through out its journey so far.
Everyone got impressed with the marvelous performances of lead stars Alia Bhatt & Shahrukh Khan, who have once again proved their brilliant acting skills. After winning best actress award for Udta Punjab in 23rd Star Screen Awards 2016, emotion queen Alia is all set to bag more awards for her performance in Dear Zindagi too.
In the opening week, Red Chillies Entertainment & Dharma Productions’ recent venture recorded the fair occupancy and did the impressive business of 47 crores from Indian screens. This was included 32.50 crores of weekend and 14.50 crores of weekdays. Now it is running in the second week and reported the business of 10.10 crores in its second weekend (Fri 2.25cr, Sat 3.50cr, Sun 4.35cr) on a steady note.
After 10 days of release, total collection of Dear Zindagi was recorded as 57.10 crores on domestic box office and 40.90 crores from international market. Once again it is in weekdays and getting lesser audience in theaters than before. With almost 45% of drop than last Friday, the movie added the amount of 1.25 crore to its account on 2nd Monday.
Then on the next day i.e. 2nd Tuesday, it reported little more decline and raked the amount of 1.17 crore and make its 12 days domestic total as 59.52 crores. Dear Zindagi is positively expected to surpass the lifetime total of Udta Punjab (60.30 crores) by this week.
