Box Office: Dear Zindagi 18th Day Collection, Aims to Surpass Lifetime Total of ‘Pink’

Gauri Shinde’s directorial Dear Zindagi has passed its third weekend also on a fair note and reached very near to surpass the lifetime total of Pink. The movie has received very positive reviews from critics, which created strong word of mouth about it. As a result, it is heading unaffectedly on box office across the country despite new releases.

In the opening week, Dear Zindagi recorded excellent response through out and did the business of 47 crores, that was included 32.50 crores of weekend and 14.50 crores of weekdays. Then in its second week too, the movie remained strong despite the new release Vidya Balan’s Kahaani 2 and raked the business of 14.39 crores, with 10.10 crores of weekend and 4.39 crores of weekdays.

Now it is running in the third week and showed decent performance over the weekend despite newly released Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor starrer Befikre. It raked the business of 0.55 crore on Friday and 1.10 crore on Saturday with 50% of growth. On Sunday, it got higher and minted the amount of 1.30 crore. After 17 days of release, total collection of Dear Zindagi was recorded as 64.44 crores on domestic box office.

Once again it is in weekdays and started getting lesser audience than before. On Monday, the movie faced almost 20% of drop as compare to Friday and added the amount of 0.42 crore to make its 18 days domestic total as 64.86 crores. Dear Zindagi is positively  expected to surpass the lifetime total of Pink (65.39 crores) by the end of this week.
