Box Office: Dishoom 10th Day Collection, Surpasses Lifetime Total of Udta Punjab

Director Rohit Dhawan’s recent venture, Dishoom recorded good performance in the opening week and now heading with decent pace in the second week. Being John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer this action-adventure movie has been released with fair buzz among audience and as expected witnessed satisfactory response on box office.

Audience liked the movie and reacted in favor of it. Unfortunately, Dishoom has received mixed reviews from critics but still registered the 6th highest opening week collection record and become 9th highest grossing movie of the year so far. With this, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has hit the hit-trick of three hits in a row in this year.

In the opening week, Dishoom reported overall decent occupancy and did the business of 53.34 crores with 37.32 crores of weekend and 16.02 crores of weekdays across India. From overseas market too, the movie is getting quite good response and reported the business of 20.06 crores in first week.

Now the movie is running in its second week and due to no big release in this week, witnessed decent growth in the weekend. On its 2nd Friday, it almost 30% of drop than previous day and did the business of 2.30 crores. On the next day, being weekend Dishoom showed decent growth and collected 3.40 crores.

Then on the last of weekend i.e. Sunday, it reported around 30% of growth in its occupancy and added the amount of 4.35 crores to its account. With this, total collection of the movie has become 63.39 crores on domestic box office and surpassed the lifetime total of Udta Punjab, that was 60.30 crores.
