Rohit Dhawan’s recent directorial offering Dishoom had reported good business total in the opening weekend but witnessed abrupt fall after that. The weekdays performance is very crucial for the movie to be successful but on Monday it faced a considerable drop of 56% than Friday. Dishoom has good star power, features John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez, this is why it has been released with good buzz among audience.

After the release as expected this third venture of producer Sajid Nadiadwala in this year, got decent response from audience across the globe but unfortunately received mixed reviews from critics as well as moviegoers. Despite this, it managed to register 6th highest opening weekend of the year so far after Sultan, Fan, Housefull 3, Airlift & Baaghi.

In the opening weekend with overall 40-50% of occupancy across 3000 screens in the country, it did the business of 37.32 crores including 11.05 crores of Friday, 12.02 crores of Saturday and 14.25 crores of Sunday. From overseas market it reported quite impressive performance, especially from UAE-GCC where its shooting has been done.

Now Dishoom is running in weekdays and as stated above, getting lesser response than expected. On Monday it witnessed almost 56% of drop than last Friday and minted the amount of 4.85 crores across India. On Tuesday, it recorded slight more drop and added the amount of 4.30 crores to its account. With this, its 5 days total collection has become 46.47 crores on domestic box office.
