11 Days Total Collection of ‘The Fate Of The Furious’ at Indian Box Office
After dominating Vidya Balan’s Begum Jaan in the opening week, highly buzzed Hollywood offering The Fate Of The Furious a.k.a Fast And Furious 8 is now leading over the newly released Sonakshi Sinha’s Noor at Indian box office in it’s second week. The movie showed excellent performance in the extended 8-days first week plus paid previews and still has good hold over the Indian audience.
Despite not so effective story line, Fast And Furious 8 impressed all the viewers with it’s jaw-dropping actions. Critics have also found it thrilling but lesser in comparison to the previous one i.e. Fast And Furious 7. The year was not going favorable for the Hollywood movies at Indian box office, but the latest one has break the ice.
In the 8-days opening week, F. Gary Gray’s directorial remained strong throughout and did the excellent business of 65.52 crores nett from around 1700 screens across the country, which was including 47.92 crores of 4-days extended weekend plus paid previews on Wednesday and 17.60 crores of weekdays.
Now the movie is running in it’s second week, and still heading with steady pace. On the 2nd Friday, Fast And Furious 8 faced around 15% of dip than previous day and managed to collect the amount of 3.05 crores. On Saturday, with usual growth due to weekend it added the amount of 3.85 crores.
On the next day i.e. Sunday, with more growth on it’s 11th day, Fast And Furious 8 is collected the amount of 4.25 crores and take it’s total collection to 78.69 crores nett (109.29 crores gross) after second weekend nationwide.
