2 Weeks Total Collection of Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium

Couple of weeks back released Hindi offering, Half Girlfriend had completed it’s opening week on a good note but abruptly slowed down in the next due to new offering Sachin A Billion Dreams. While the adjacent movie Hindi Medium remained good in the second week as well due to it’s relevant content.

Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer much awaited romantic drama Half Girlfriend was released with good excitement of fans but mixed reviews of critics kept it flat over the weekend. In the opening week, it fetched the business of 49.19 crores that included 32.04 crores of weekend and 17.15 crores of weekdays from 2500 screens.

But in the second week, Mohit Suri’s directorial got failed to sustain and faced abrupt drop in footfalls. In the second week, Half Girlfriend raked only 6.12 crores, including 1.76 crore of Friday, 2.01 crores of Saturday and 2.35 crores of Sunday. Then in weekdays, it dropped more and minted 1 crore on Monday, 0.90 crore on Tuesday and 0.80 crore on Wednesday.

On the last day of week i.e. Thursday with more drop, the movie bagged 0.70 crore and made it’s 2 weeks domestic total as 58.71 crores. While on the other hands, Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar starrer Hindi Medium started the journey on a decent note and raked the business of 25.21 crores with 12.56 crores in weekend and 12.65 crores in weekdays from 1126 screens.

In the second weekend, despite new release it remained steady and collected the amount of 12.14 crores, including 2.82 crores of Friday, 4.21 crores of Saturday and 5.11 crores of Sunday. Then in weekdays too, Hindi Medium recorded well and scored 2.20 crores on Monday, 2.22 crores on Tuesday and 2.21 crores on Wednesday.

On Thursday, with slight drop the movie minted the amount of 2.11 crores and made it’s 2 weeks total collection as 46.09 crores on domestic box office. Stability of Hindi Medium, once again proves that content is the king.
