3 Weeks Total Collection of Hindi Medium and Half Girlfriend

Biggest unexpected hit of the year in Bollywood so far, Hindi Medium completed it’s 3 weeks journey at box office on a strong note. Due to good content, it remained steady throughout across the country despite new offerings.

Irrfan Khan and Pakistani actress Saba Qamar starrer comedy drama Hindi Medium was released opposite to highly buzzed Half Girlfriend, but still got succeed to pick up well over the weekend and raked the business of 25.21 crores in the first week from 1126 screens nationwide.

On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer romantic drama Half Girlfriend started on a good note but due to mixed reviews it remained almost flat over the weekend and registered the business of 49.19 crores in the opening week from 2500 screens.

Then in the second week Mohit Suri’s directorial slowed down by abrupt rate and collected only 9.52 crores. While Saket Chaudhary’s directorial remained strong despite new release Sachin A Billion Dreams and fetched the business of 20.88 crores.

In the third week, Half Girlfriend witnessed more drop and managed to collect the amount of 0.93 crore, that included 0.28 crore of Friday, 0.32 crore of Saturday and 0.33 crore of Sunday. Then in weekdays, it added 0.14 crore on Monday, 0.11 crore on Tuesday, 0.09 crore on Wednesday and 0.08 crore on Thursday.

While in it’s third week too, Hindi Medium successfully maintained a good pace and minted 7.51 crores from 773 screens, that included 1.76 crore of Friday, 2.75 crores of Saturday and 3 crores of Sunday. In weekdays, it scored 1.30 crore on Monday, 1.31 crore on Tuesday, 1.25 crore on Wednesday and 1.20 crore on Thursday.

After 3 weeks, total collections of Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium have become 60.06 crores and 58.66 crores respectively. Because of lesser investment, Irrfan Khan starrer emerged as bigger hit than the Arjun-Shraddha starrer.
