8 Days Total Collection of Vikram’s Iru Mugan

Recent offering of superstar Vikram, Iru Mugan has emerged as the third highest grossing Tamil movie of the year so far after Rajinikanth Kabali and Vijay’s Theri. Despite mixed reviews of critics, this sci-fi action thriller has witnessed overwhelmed response from audience across the globe, especially in its dominated region Tamil Nadu.

Reportedly the movie has been released on around 1000 screens worldwide including 400 screens in Tamil Nadu. The lead star Vikram is being appreciated by everyone for his performance. His fans are showing immense excitement and creating huge buzz on social media about it, which helped it to rake excellent business figures through out the opening week.

In the extended 4-days weekend, Anand Shankar’s directorial witnessed superb occupancy across Tamil Nadu and did the business of total 18.50 crores with 5.25 crores of Thursday, 4.50 crores of Friday, 4 crores of Saturday and 4.75 crores of Sunday. After the weekend, asusual it faced considerable drop but stood strong.

On Monday, Iru Mugan recorded almost 40% of drop than Sunday and minted the amount of 3 crores. On the next day i.e. Tuesday being holiday due to Eid, it showed decent rise in its occupancy and collected 3.75 crores. Then on Wednesday, the movie again faced drop and collected 2.75 crores.

On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, it reported more drop and added the amount of approx. 2.25 crores* to its account. With this opening week total collection of Iru Mugan has become 30.25 crores* across Tamil state. From Andhra Pradesh / Telangana and Kerala, it reported the business of 20.75 crores* and 3.65 crores* respectively.

At worldwide box office, Vikram starrer has reported the business of around 75 crores gross including 4 crores from overseas market. The movie is expected to remain steady in its second week too, as it still has complete hold over Tamil audience.
