2 Days Total Collection of Chiyaan Vikram’s Iru Mugan
Very versatile superstar Chiyaan Vikram’s latest offering Iru Mugan has been released this Thursday on around 1000 screens globally. Being year’s of the much awaited Tamil movies, it has come out with high buzz among audience but witnessed decent response on box office across the country. From US market, this Anand Shankar has reported dull performance.
Iru Mugan has received mixed reviews from critics, but audience is reacting in favor of it. As per critics, the actor and Nayanthara have given wonderful performances as always but still the movie doesn’t match with the expectations. Fans of Vikram are showing immense excitement towards Iru Mugan and creating good buzz on social media.
On the opening day, Iru Mugan recorded decent occupancy on 400 screens across the state Tamil Nadu and raked the business of 5.25 crores, which is higher than Vikram’s last offering 10 Endrathukulla (5 crores) but far lesser than Rajinikanth’s Kabali (21.50 crores), Ajith Kumar’s Vedalam (15.50 crores) & Vijay’s Theri (13.10 crores).
On the second day, it faced slight drop in its occupancy and added the amount of 4.50 crores to its account. With this, 2 days total net collection of Iru Mugan has become 9.75 crores from Tamil Nadu state. From Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, Iru Mugan’s Telugu version (Inkokkadu) has done the business of 8.75 crores in 2 days, that includes 4.75 crores of Thursday and 4 crores of Friday.
From 114 screens of Kerala, it reported the business of 1.25 crore on Thursday and 0.75 crore on Friday. In India the movie is performing decently but in overseas it is heading averagely, minted the amount of only $75000 so far.
