Box Office: Iru Mugan (Inkokkadu) 3rd Day Collection, Remains Steady in TN & AP/T

3 Days Total Collection of Vikram’s Iru Mugan (Inkokkadu)

Recent Tamil offering Iru Mugan is enjoying good response across Tamil Nadu. The movie has received mixed reviews from critics as well as moviegoers, but getting favorable reactions from audience. Being Vikram starrer, Iru Mugan has been released with huge hype worldwide but failed to satisfy critics completely.

Iru Mugan has been released with 1000 screens across the globe in Tamil and Telugu (dubbed) versions, with title Inkokkadu in Telugu. It features very versatile Chiyaan Vikram, charming Nayanthara and very promising Nithya Menen in lead roles. As per critics, all of them have given impactful performances but the character of Nithya is not very effective.

On the opening day, Iru Mugan recorded good occupancy on 400 screens of Tamil Nadu and did the business of 5.25 crores. With this it has emerged as the second highest opening of Vikram’s career after I (Ai) that was 8 crores. On the next day it remained steady and raked the business of 4.50 crores.

With slight more drop on Saturday, Iru Mugan added the amount of 4 crores more to its account and made its 3 days total as 13.75 crores from Tamil states. From Andhra Pradesh/Telangana also, the movie has reported good business of 12 crores in 3 days, that includes 4.75 crores of Thursday, 4 crores of Friday and 3.25 crores of Saturday.

From 114 screens of Kerala, it has done approx. 2.45 crores including 1.25 crore of Thursday, 0.75 crore of Friday and 0.45 crore* of Saturday. In international markets, Iru Mugan is getting decent response. From USA, it has reported the business of $75,000 till Friday.
