Box Office: Iru Mugan / Inkokkadu 6th Day Collection, Enjoys Eid Holiday across India

6 Days Total Collection of Vikram’s Iru Mugan

Anand Shankar’s directorial action-thriller science fiction Iru Mugan has been released on 1000 screens worldwide with enormous buzz among the fans of superstar Chiyaan Vikram as well as Tamil audience. Being year’s much awaited and anticipated movie, it enjoyed excellent business on box office in the opening 4-days weekend.

Unfortunately Iru Mugan received mixed reviews from critics, but this has not hampered its performance so far. The movie is heading smoothly across the country and decently in overseas. As per critics Iru Mugan doesn’t fulfill the earlier expectations, but lead star Vikram has given brilliant performances in both his characters.

In the extended opening weekend, the movie recorded excellent occupancy across 400 screens of Tamil state and registered the business of total 18.50 crores with 5.25 crores of Thursday, 4.50 crores of Friday, 4 crores of Saturday and 4.75 crores of Sunday. Now Iru Mugan is running weekdays and asusual started facing drops but still has good hold over audience.

On Monday, it faced almost 40% of drop than previous day and raked the business of 3 crores. Then on Tuesday being holiday due to Eid-ul-Adha, Iru Mugan showed decent jump in its occupancy and added the amount of 3.75 crores to its account. With this 6 days total collection of the movie has become 25.25 crores across Tamil Nadu.

From AP/Telangana also, Iru Mugan is getting good response and has reported the business of 19.50 crores total till Tuesday. From Kerala it has done the business of 3.50 crores so far. At worldwide box office, the movie has grossed more than 60 crores with Tamil & Telugu versions including 3.50 crores* approx. from overseas screens.
