Box Office: Jolly LLB 2 18th Day Collection, Aiming to Surpass Akshay Kumar’s Holiday

Second installment from Fox Star Studios’ franchise Jolly LLB, Jolly LLB 2 is heading with steady pace across the country and has already emerged as superstar Akshay Kumar’s 6th highest grossing movie so far by surpassing 2016’s Housefull 3 with the end of its third weekend on domestic box office.

Being highly awaited, Jolly LLB 2 was released with immense excitement of Akshay’s fans and as expected received very positive reviews from audience as well as critics. As a result, the movie gained strong word of mouth and remained strong throughout its journey so far. This satirical comedy drama still has much hold over the audience and aiming to surpass 2014’s Holiday now.

In the opening week, director Subhash Kapoor’s this latest offering reported terrific occupancy throughout and did the excellent business of 77.71 crores, which was including 50.46 crores of weekend and 27.25 crores from Indian screens. Then in the second week too, it remained strong and minted 26.74 crores with 17.73 crores of weekend and 9.01 crores of weekdays.

Now the movie is running in third week and cashed this weekend on a good note. Despite newly release Hindi movie Rangoon, Jolly LLB 2 raked the business of total 6.26 crores in the third weekend, including 1.75 crore of Friday, 2.01 crores of Saturday and 2.50 crores of Sunday. After 17 days, total collection of the movie was recorded as 110.71 crores domestically.

Once again, Akshay Kumar starrer is in weekdays and asusual started getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before. On 3rd Monday, Jolly LLB 2 faced the drop of 65% than Friday and minted the amount of 0.61 crore, which has made its 18 days domestic total as 111.32 crores. With this, in few days it will surpass the lifetime total of Holiday (112.45 crores) and emerge as Akshay’s 5th highest grosser so far.
