Box Office: Jolly LLB 2 7th Day Collection, Surpasses Lifetime Total of Housefull in 1st Week

Opening Week Total Collection of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 2’

Last Friday released much awaited Hindi offering Jolly LLB 2 has completed its one week journey on box office excellently. The movie started on a decent note but picked up well afterward and remained strong throughout the opening week. Being superstar Akshay Kumar starrer, this satirical comedy drama was released with immense excitement of audience and as expected received favorable response across the country as well as overseas.

The actor has impressed everyone and once again proved his versatility by playing his role of struggling lawyer brilliantly in the movie. Along with him, veteran actors Annu Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla have also performed wonderfully and are being praised by viewers. Jolly LLB 2 has received very positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers and as a result gained strong word of mouth.

In the opening weekend, Subhash Kapoor’s directorial recorded overall excellent occupancy and did the business of 50.46 crores from Indian screens, which was including 13.20 crores of Friday, 17.31 crores of Saturday and 19.95 crores of Sunday. Then in weekdays, asusual Jolly LLB 2 faced considerable drops but still managed to remain steady.

On Monday, second installment of the franchise Jolly LLB reported 45% of drop than Friday and minted the amount of 7.26 crores. On Tuesday, being Valentine’s Day the movie showed impressive growth and raked the business of 9.07 crores. Facing decline again, Jolly LLB 2 added the amount of 5.89 crores on Wednesday.

On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, the movie witnessed more than 15% of drop as compare to previous day and collected the amount of 5.03 crores, which has made its one week total collection as 77.71 crores on domestic box office. With this, it has emerged as Akshay Kumar‘s 11th highest grossing movie so far by surpassing the lifetime total of his 2010’s Housefull (76 crores).
