First Day Collection of Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil
Rakesh Roshan’s 6th collaboration with his son superstar Hrithik Roshan as a producer, Kaabil has been released on Wednesday on 2200 plus screens across the country and around 550 screens in overseas market. Because of huge pre-release hype among his fans and audience as well, the movie has taken good start on box office but due to clash with Shahrukh Khan’s Raees, it has reported lesser footfall in theaters than expected.
With its strong content, Kaabil has impressed all the viewers and got very favorable response from them. From critics also, the movie has received very positive reviews, which has generated good word of mouth about it. As per them, Sanjay Gupta’s directorial this recent Hindi offering is a beautiful & impactful entertainer with youthful music and brilliant performances by Hrithik & Yami Gautam. Director Sanjay Gupta is also being praised for his sincere direction
On the opening day, Kaabil started the day with decent occupancy of 35% and showed good growth from evening shows in multiplexes. Overall it has recorded 50-55% of occupancy across India and minted the amount of 10.43 crores on domestic box office, which is better than Hrithik’s previous release Mohenjo Daro (8.87 crores) & 2010’s Kites (10.40 crores).
With this it has become the fourth highest opener of his career after 2014’s Bang Bang (27.54 crores), 2013’s Krrish 3 (25.50 crores) & 2012’s Agneepath (23 crores). Everyone found Kaabil a worth watch movie and creating very good buzz about it on social media. With such positive word of mouth, the movie is expected to take impressive jump on 26th January i.e. Republic Day due to public holiday.
