Box Office: Kaabil 5th Day Collection, Crosses 67 Cr Total in 5-Days Opening Weekend

Producer Rakesh Roshan’s recent venture Kaabil with his son superstar Hrithik Roshan had started on a lesser note than expected but spread the wings from the next day and now running successfully across the country despite the clash with superstar Shahrukh Khan’s biggie Raees. Due to high initial buzz, it had created by its trailer & music, the movie has been released with immense excitement of fans and as expected impressing its viewers.

Kaabil has a nice story line with youthful music and marvelous performances of the lead stars, because of which it has received very positive reviews from most of the critics as well as moviegoers. They have marked it as one of the best movies in Hrithik’s career and a beautiful attempt to give something new to Indian cinema.

On the opening day i.e. Wednesday, Sanjay Gupta’s directorial this drama action-thriller recorded 45-50% of occupancy due to clash and did the business of 10.43 crores, which is not much impressive but better than Hrithik’s previous offering Mohenjo Daro (8.87 crores) and the fourth highest opening of his career so far after Bang Bang (27.54 crores), Krrish 3 (25.50 crores) & Agneepath (23 crores).

On Thursday it was holiday due to Republic Day, so Kaabil showed impressive jump in its business and collected the amount of 18.67 crores. On Friday being normal working day, it faced 48% of drop than previous day and registered the business of 9.77 crores. Then on Saturday, the movie again witnessed growth and minted the amount of 13.54 crores.

On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, Kaabil showed more growth but pulled back little due to #IndvEng T20 cricket match. With 11% of growth, it managed to add the amount of 15.05 crores to its account and made its 5-days extended opening weekend total collection as 67.46 crores on domestic box office.
