Box Office: Kaabil & Raees 21st Day Collection, Witness Slight Jump on Valentine’s Day

Around three weeks ago released two much hyped Hindi offerings Raees and Kaabil have showed excellent performances in the opening week and lost most of their pace after that. Both the movies witnessed favorable response of audience across the country but faced much loss in business because of this clash, as the screens as well as audience got divided in two.

Director Sanjay Gupta’s latest venture Kaabil did witness lower response in the opening week than Raees but the response of audience was more favorable toward it as compare to the opposite one. It did the business of 82.18 crores in its first week, which was including 67.46 crores of weekend and 14.72 crores of weekdays.

Then in the second week, impressively Kaabil remained steady and reported higher business than SRK’s Raees. It registered the amount of 17.09 crores including 11.71 crores of weekend and 5.38 crores of weekdays. In the third weekend, this drama action thriller minted 2.65 crores with 0.55 crore of Friday, 0.90 crore of Saturday and 1.20 crore of Sunday.

After the third weekend, total domestic collection of Kaabil was recorded as 101.92 crores. Now it is running in weekdays and asusual getting lesser footfalls in theaters than earlier. With considerable drop, the movie raked the amount of 0.32 crore on Monday. On Tuesday, it was Valentine’s Day so the movie added 0.40 crore and made its 21 days total as 102.64 crores.

On the other hand, Rahul Dholakia’s directorial Raees did the business of 118.36 crores, which was including 93.24 crores of weekend and 25.12 crores of weekdays. In the second week, it lost most of its pace and raked the business of only 16.40 crores including 11.55 crores of weekend and 4.85 crores of weekdays.

In the third weekend, Raees registered the business of 1.65 crore (Fri 0.30cr, Sat 0.55cr, Sun 0.80cr) and recorded its 19 days total collection as 136.41 crores. Now once again it is in weekdays and getting lesser audience in theaters. On Monday, it faced usual and managed to score 0.21 crore. On Tuesday i.e. Valentine’s Day, it witnessed little jump and minted 0.27 crore, which has made its 21 days total as 136.89 crores.
