10 Days Total Collection of Rajinikanth’s Kabali
After a storming performance in the opening week, superstar Rajinikanth starrer Kabali is now heading with decent note. Being much awaited Tamil movie of the year, it has been released with massive buzz among audience and reported phenomenal business in the opening weekend. Due to immense excitement of fans as well as audience Kabali took gigantic start across India and registered the higher opening than Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year (44.97 crores).
Unfortunately Kabali has received mixed reviews from critics, despite this it performed tremendously in the weekend and dominated the first 3-days collection record of Salman Khan’s Sultan. In weekdays, the movie witnessed abrupt drops in its business and lagged behind Sultan with much difference after a week.
In the opening week, Pa. Ranjith’s directorial Kabali reported excellent occupancy and did the business of total 149 crores with 110 crores of weekend and 39 crores of weekdays. In these business figures, 121 crores are contributed by south regions and 28 crores by rest of India.
Now the movie is running in second week and witnessed almost steady response in its second weekend. On Friday, it faced slight more drop than previous day and minted the amount of 6 crores across India; including 1.15 crore of north. On Saturday, being weekend Kabali showed impressive rise in its occupancy did the business of 9.75 crores (1.25 crore of north).
On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it recorded higher response than Saturday across the country and added the amount of 13.25 crores to its account, including 1.60 crore from north. With this, total domestic collection of Kabali has become 178 crores with its Tamil, Telugu & Hindi versions.
