First Day Collection of Vidya Balan’s Kahaani 2

Latest installment of the successful thriller franchise Kahaani has been released this Friday with decent buzz among fans and as expected witnessed decent response from audience across the nation. Vidya Balan & Arjun Rampal starrer this movie has received mixed reviews from critics because of its predictable story but everyone is appreciating the performances of lead stars.

Both Vidya & Arjun are known for their acting and have huge fan following in India as well as outside. Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh also known for his great direction, so all these facts are resulted out in favor of the movie at this time of demonetization. Also the last week released Shahrukh Khan & Alia Bhatt starrer Dear Zindagi still has enough hold over audience and capable to affect the performance of Kahaani 2.

On the opening day, Kahaani 2 started with an average occupancy of 25% in morning and witnessed slight growth from the evening shows on 1235 screens across India. As per report, it has registered the decent business of 4.25 crores on domestic box office. Whereas, 2012’s Kahaani opened with 2.95 crores but remained strong through out its journey and registered the lifetime business of 51.55 crores. Let see, the latest one can maintain the similar hold.

Most of the audience reacted in favor of Kahaani 2, so it can be expected to take decent jump over the weekend. As compare to the original one, it is getting way better in India as well as from international market.
