Box Office: Kahaani 2 3rd Day Collection, Crosses 16 Cr Total in 1st Weekend

3 Days Total Collection of Vidya Balan’s Kahaani 2

Vidya Balan’s latest offering Kahaani 2 with Arjun Rampal, has completed its opening weekend at box office on a decent note. Being the second installment of her much appreciated franchise Kahaani, the movie was expected to come out in more better. But unfortunately it has to satisfy with this only and also has to maintain steady pace in weekdays, for a reputed total at the end of first week.

Due to its predictable story and lack of thrill, Kahaani 2 has received mixed reviews from critics as well as moviegoers but they have appreciated the performances of Vidya & Arjun in lead roles. Also most of the viewers have reacted in favor of the movie, which made it to witness fair growth in its occupancy over weekend than the opening day.

On Friday, Sujoy Ghosh’ directorial this thriller flick recorded an average occupancy of for morning shows. But witnessed little growth from evening and did the decent business of 4.25 crores from 1235 screens on domestic box office. As compare to the original one 2012’s Kahaani which opened up with 2.95 crores, the latest one is on a way better position.

On the second day with the support of fans and the positive reactions of audience, Kahaani 2 showed more than 36% of growth and added the amount of 5.79 crores to its account. Then on the last day of weekend too i.e. Sunday, the movie reported more growth and minted the amount of 6.93 crores to make its opening weekend domestic total as 16.97 crores, whereas Kahaani had registered 13.83 crores in first 3 days.
