Box Office: Katamarayudu 3rd Day Collection, Crosses 45 Cr Gross Total in Telugu States

3 Days Total Collection of Katamarayudu (Telugu)

Much awaited Katamarayudu is an official remake of superstar Ajith Kumar starrer 2014’s Tamil movie Veeram. Power star Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan starrer this romantic action-comedy has been released this Friday at box office and as expected received amazing response from fans as well as audience. After starting it’s journey on an outstanding note, the movie showed overall excellent performance throughout the opening weekend.

Audience found Katamarayudu very interesting and showed big thumbs up to it. Most of the critics have also reacted in it’s favor, due to which it gained strong word of mouth. As a result, it successfully dominated the opening record of Pawan Kalyan’s previous movie Sardar Gabbar Singh. Although it got failed to break the record of megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No. 150.

On the opening day, Kishore Kumar Pardasani’s directorial witnessed almost 100% occupancy in all the theaters across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. With this, Katamarayudu registered the humongous opening of 22.25 crores nett. (28.10 crores gross), which is higher than Sardar Gabbar Singh (20.50 crores) but lesser than Khaidi No. 150 (23.25 crores).

On Saturday, asusual this south Indian movie too faced abrupt drop in it’s occupancy but Pawan’s this latest offering managed to add the decent amount of 5.10 crores nett. (6.40 crores gross) to it’s account. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, the movie recorded good growth and garnered the business of 8.90 crores nett. (11.25 crores gross) at AP/T box office.

With this, total opening weekend collection of Katamarayudu has become 36.25 crores nett. (45.75 crores gross) across Telugu states. From Karnataka, Kerala, Chennai, rest parts of India and overseas as well, the movie has done quite excellent business of more than 70 crores gross at worldwide box office with around 1500 screens.
