Box Office: Katamarayudu 6th Day Collection, Pawan Kalyan-Shruti Haasan’s Film Remains Good

An official Telugu remake of superstar Ajith Kumar’s Tamil film Veeram, Katamarayudu is performing amazingly well on box office across the country as well as overseas. Being highly awaited, power star Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan starrer this romantic action-comedy was released last Friday with immense excitement of their fans as well as audience and as expected received overwhelmed response from them.

Everyone found the film very entertaining and showed big thumbs up for it. From critics also, it has received positive reviews and gained strong word of mouth. With almost 100% occupancy, Katamarayudu started it’s journey with an outstanding opening of 22.25 crores across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. While Pawan’s last film Sardar Gabbar Singh was opened with 20.50 crores in these regions.

In the opening weekend, Kishore Kumar Pardasani’s directorial remained strong throughout and did an excellent business of 36.25 crores nett. (45.75 crores gross), which was including 22.25 crores of Friday, 5.10 crores of Saturday and 8.90 crores of Sunday from approx. 1000 screens in Telugu states. At worldwide box office, it grossed around 70 crores in first 3 days.

Now Katamarayudu is running in weekdays and asusual getting lesser audience in theaters due to normal working days. On Monday with 55% of drop than Sunday, the film managed to collect the amount of 4 crores (5.05 crores gross). Then with more dip, it minted the amount of 3.50 crores (4.40 crores gross) on Tuesday.

On the next day i.e. Wednesday, Katamrayudu faced more drop and garnered the business of 3.20 crores (4.05 crores gross). With this, it’s 6 days total collection has become 46.95 crores (59.25 crores gross) at AP/T box office. Reportedly from USA market, it has grossed 7.02 crores till Tuesday. It is all set to enter in 100 crore (gross) club by this week at worldwide box office.
