Madaari First Day Box Office Collection

Solo Hindi release of the week, Irrfan Khan starrer Madaari has opened with a decent buzz among audience. The movie has reported overall below average occupancy across the country on Friday and as expected struggled much due to already existing Salman Khan’s Sultan and adjacent release giant Rajinikanth’s Kabali (Tamil, Telugu & Hindi).

Madaari is social-thriller movie, directed by one of the admirable directors Nishikant Kamat who is well known for Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam. It is produced by Paramhans Creations & Saptarishi Cinevision and presented by Pooja Entertainment & Films. The movie features Irrfan Khan, Vishesh Bansal, Jimmy Sheirgill, Tushar Dalvi and Nitesh Pandey.

Because of the presence of very promising actors like Irrfan Khan & Jimmy Sheirgill, Madaari had little pre-release hype among audience. Also both have received positive comments from audience as well as critics. But still the movie has not taken a satisfactory start on box office. It has started the day with 7-8% of occupancy across the country and witnessed overall 10% of occupancy in its opening day.

Reportedly most of the audience preferred Sultan & Kabali more over this social thriller and with such below average occupancy, Madaari added the amount of around 2.25 crores to its account on domestic box office. Word of mouth for the movie is decent, so it can take slight rise in its business on Saturday and Sunday.
