Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra starrer romantic comedy Meri Pyaari Bindu generated good buzz among fans as well as audience with it’s promos and songs, but on the opening day it recorded only 15-20% of occupancy on 750 screens across the country.

Akshay Roy’s this directorial is limited to multiplex audience, and recorded slight growth in footfalls from evening shows. As per reports, the movie has collected the amount of 1.75 crore on Friday.

On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan, Amit Sadh, Yami Gautam and Jackie Shroff starrer political thriller Sarkar 3 has recorded 10-15% of occupancy on 1425 screens nationwide. It is the third installment of filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s most successful franchise Sarkar.

This is why it was expected to do better than the adjacent release, but unfortunately it also got failed to impress viewers as well as critics. On a lower than previous installments of the franchise, the third one raked the amount of only 2.10 crores on the opening day.
