Opening Week Total Collection of Mirzya & Tutak Tutak Tutiya
Last Friday released Hindi offerings Mirzya & Tutak Tutak Tutiya have showed disappointing performance on box office through out its opening week. Due to mixed reviews of critics and already existing ruler MS Dhoni The Untold Story, these both movies witnessed low interest of audience toward themselves.
Prabhu Deva, Sonu Sood & Tamannaah Bhatia starrer horror comedy Tutak Tutak Tutiya has also been released in Tamil & Telugu with titles Devi & Abhinetri respectively. With its Hindi version, it has not received much response from audience but in south region, the movie has performed good.
In the opening weekend, Tutak Tutak Tutiya recorded only 10-15% of occupancy on approximately 1000 screens and minted the amount of 1.86 crore including 0.61 crore of Friday, 0.60 crore of Saturday and 0.65 crore of Sunday. While the decently hyped Mirzya witnessed 15-20% of occupancy on 1700 screens and raked the business of 6.50 crores including 2.20 crores of Friday, 2.10 crores of Saturday and 2.20 crores of Sunday.
In weekdays, being normal working days Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s directorial faced usual drop than weekend and collected the amount of 0.90 crore on Monday, 1.20 crore on Tuesday (Dussehra) and 0.75 crore on Wednesday. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, Mirzya reported more drop and added the amount of 0.65 crore to its account. With this, its opening week total collection has become 10 crores on domestic box office.
On the other hand, A.L. Vijay’s directorial Tutak Tutak Tutiya did the business of 0.51 crore on Monday, 0.65 crore on Tuesday (Dussehra) and 0.43 crore on Wednesday. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, it raked the business of 0.36 crore with more drop and made its first week domestic total as 4.36 crores.
