11 Days Total Collection of Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro
Ashutosh Gowariker and Hrithik Roshan’s latest collaboration Mohenjo Daro has not come out as good as everyone was expecting earlier. Being much anticipated, the movie has been released with very high expectations but its weak execution has spoiled the excitement of audience. Despite being highly star powered, budgeted and promoted, Mohenjo Daro got failure to entertain viewers.
Hrithik’s fans and some audience still liked the movie but it has received mixed reviews from critics, which melted down all its hype at box office. As a result, Mohenjo Daro witnessed decent occupancy in weekend and recorded abrupt fall after that. In the second weekend too, it has not made a considerable come back due to new release Happy Bhag Jayegi and adjacent release Rustom.
In the opening week, Ashutosh Gowariker’s directorial this epic-adventure reported lesser occupancy than expected and did the business of 51.18 crores on domestic box office, including 30.55 crores of weekend and 20.63 crores of weekdays. The week total is decent but as compare to its whopping budget of 115 crores, Mohenjo Daro disappointed everyone.
Now the movie is in the second week and due to cold reactions of viewers, it witnessed very low response in the second weekend and raked the business of only 3.88 crores, including 1.05 crore of Friday, 1.28 crore of Saturday and 1.55 crore of Sunday. After 10 days, total collection of Mohenjo Daro was recorded as 55.06 crores across India and 26.20 crores from overseas market.
Once again Hrithik starrer is running in weekdays and getting least occupancy. On the 2nd Monday, it recorded almost 40% of drop than previous day and added the amount of only 0.62 crore to its account. With this, total 11 days domestic collection of Mohenjo Daro has become 55.68 crores. With this pace, it won’t be possible for the movie to survive after this week.
