2 Weeks Total Collection of Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro
Superstar Hrithik Roshan starrer recent offering Mohenjo Daro has been released last week with huge buzz and expectations. But unfortunately it has not received much response from audience on box office. Despite being highly budgeted and promoted, it got failure in satisfying critics as well as moviegoers.
Before the release, Mohenjo Daro was supposed to give heavy competition to the adjacent release Akshay Kumar’s Rustom. But in front of Akshay’s winning stride, Hrithik starrer received only disappointment. With its satellite and music rights, makers recovered much of its budget but at box office it marked as flop.
In the opening week, Mohenjo Daro recorded decent occupancy and raked the business of 51.18 crores on domestic box office, which included 30.55 crores of weekend and 20.63 crores of weekdays. Due to cold reactions of viewers, till the end of its first week, the movie had lost almost all its hold.
In the second week due to fresh releases, it faced more competition and minted only 3.88 crores in the weekend, including 1.05 crore of Friday, 1.28 crore of Saturday and 1.55 crore of Sunday. After 10 days, total domestic collection of Mohenjo Daro was recorded as 55.06 crores. From overseas market, it reported slightly better performance and raked the business of 26.20 crores.
Then in weekdays, Ashutosh Gowariker’s directorial this epic-adventure witnessed very low response and minted only 0.62 crore on Monday, 0.59 crore on Tuesday and 0.68 crore on Wednesday. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, despite holiday on account of Krishna Janmashtami it faced drop and collected the amount of 0.47 crore.
With this, total 2 weeks collection of Mohenjo Daro has become 57.42 crores from Indian screens. New Hindi movie of this week A Flying Jatt has already released on Thursday i.e. August 25 and getting decent response on box office. So it won’t be easy for the Hrithik starrer to survive in the third week.
