7 Days Total Collection of Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro
The much awaited recent offering of superstar Hrithik Roshan, Mohenjo Daro has witnessed disappointing response on box office. Despite being highly budgeted and promoted, it raked the opening week total business in range of 50’s only. Whereas the adjacent release, Akshay Kumar’s Rustom has crossed the mark of 90 crores across India in the same time.
Being ace storyteller Ashutosh Gowariker and Hrithik’s second collaboration after 2008’s Jodhaa Akbar, Mohenjo Daro has been released with high buzz and expectations of fans as well as audience but due to mixed reviews of critics as well as moviegoers, it reported only decent in weekend and faced abrupt drop from weekdays.
In the opening weekend, the movie recorded 30-40% of occupancy and did the business of 30.55 crores including 8.87 crores of Friday, 9.60 crores of Saturday and 12.08 crores of Sunday. On Monday being holiday due to India’s 70th Independence Day, it remained decent and raked the business of 10.27 crores.
On Tuesday being normal working and due to cold word of mouth, it witnessed abrupt fall in its occupancy and minted the amount of 3.16 crores. Then on Wednesday, it faced slight more drop and collected 2.96 crores on domestic box office.
On the last day of week i.e. Thursday being holiday due to Raksha Bandhan, Ashutosh Gowariker’s directorial Mohenjo Daro showed little rise in its business and added the amount of 4.24 crores to its account. With this, opening week total collection of the movie has become 51.18 crores across the country.
