12 Days Total Collection Taapsee Pannu’s Naam Shabana
The recent heroine oriented Hindi offering, Naam Shabana is heading decently on box office across the country and emerged as the strongest performer of the year among all mid-budget movies released so far. Despite the mixed reviews of critics, this prequel to 2015’s Baby successfully garnered reputed business total.
Most of the audience reacted in the favor of Naam Shabana and also liked the power-packed performance given by Taapsee. But still it got failed to impress all the critics, as some of them have not found it up to the earlier expectations. The movie also features superstar Akshay Kumar in an extended cameo, who is the major highlight.
In the opening week, Shivam Nair’s directorial remained almost steady throughout and did the business of 27.18 crores, which was including 18.76 crores of weekend and 8.42 crores of weekdays from around 2100 screens across India. Now the movie is running in it’s second week and heading decently with usual drop in footfalls.
In the second weekend, Naam Shabana witnessed constant growth and raked the business of 5.37 crores, with 1.07 crore of Friday, 1.88 crore of Saturday and 2.42 crores of Sunday. After the second weekend, total collection of the movie was recorded as 32.55 crores on domestic box office.
Once again, Neeraj Pandey’s production venture is in weekdays and getting lesser occupancy than before. On it’s 2nd Monday, the movie faced 29% of drop than Friday and added the amount of 0.76 crore. Then on Tuesday, with further dip Naam Shabana minted 0.70 crore and made it’s 12 days domestic total as 34.01 crores.
